SINAI

This wide Peninsula is of breathtaking topographic beauty . It covers an area which in the north stretches from Taba on the Gulf of Aqaba across the northern base of Teeh plateau , Ras Masala on the Gulf of Suez and the gulf of aqaba to Ra’s Mohammed . a remarkable sight is the chain of granite rock hills.

Main Towns

- El Tur

It is the capital of south Sinai . It lies on the Suez Gulf and enjoys an excellent climate both in summer and winter and abounds in fruit orchards.

- Ras Sudr

Ras Sudr and Abu Zeneima are on the Suez Gulf

- Abu Rodeis

A bout 145 km south of Suez . it is an important Oil center. Small and medium-size airplanes can land on its airport.

Behind the monastery a foot – path with 3.750 stone steps carved from the rock , lead up to the summit of Mt. Moses , on the top of which Moses received the Ten Commandments.

- Dahab

Stretches from the Bedouin village of Assalah in the North to the Southern Oases at Wadi Qinai , about 54 miles from Sharm el Sheikh . Dahab means “gold” , and it is said that it was given by the Arab Bedouins , who linked the shimmering sands to gold dust . Dahab boasts one of  the most beautiful beaches in South Sinai.

- Sharm El –Sheikh 

At the southern top. Situated between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba , Sharm El-Sheikh has some of the finest snorkeling and diving and pure relaxation . Sharm El-Sheikh is also noted for its sulphur springs which are considered cures for those suffering from rheumatic and skin diseases .

- Nuweiba

Nuweiba overlooks the Gulf of Aqaba. Historically, it has been an important stopping place for Muslim pilgrims on route to Mecca. Modern tourists like to stop here for different of water sports , a view of the fabulous coral reefs , and desert safaris to visit nearby Bedouin settlements . Nuweiba is a feast of colors for the eyes – the beauty of life under the water and the blue sea with golden sand.

- Taba

Taba  has a unique location overlooking the Aqaba harbour in Jordan , the Saudi Arabian mountains and  is only 2 miles from Eilat in Israel . Taba has all the excitement and fascination you could want ; the beach with its clear limpid blue waters , its Coloured reefs and rare fish , and the privacy of intimate sunbathing where you can relax and spend a leisurely afternoon enjoying the calm sea.

- Ras Mohammed

Ras Mohammed is designated as parks and natural reserves , with strict laws and regulations to protect and preserve the environment there . Located in the southern part of Sinai , 40 miles from El-Tor , Ras Mohammed lies in the narrowest strip between the Gulf of Suez and Aqaba . Scientists , explorers , scuba divers and campers alike seek Ras Mohammed for adventure and excitement as it is the richest area for marine life in the Red Sea and without doubt has one of the best dive sites . Ras Mohammed is known for its wealth in sea life , lovely coral reefs and clear waters.

The shark observatory is one of the most well-known with big fish such assharks , Napoleons and schools of Jack fish and Tuna.
