Arrive Cairo, Egypt

Arrive at Cairo International Airport (CAI) according to your own air schedule, meet & assist through the passport control, transfer to the Hotel to overnight

Cairo / Alkexandria

Early morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and then you will visit Great Pyramids of Giza the last survivors of the "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World." and the Sphinx. The Great Pyramid of Cheops, built around 2575 BC, stands a monumental 449 feet high. Travelers participating in our private group tour of the Great Pyramid of Cheops. The Sphinx was carved from an outcrop of limestone as a recumbent lion with the face of the pharaoh Chepren . Despite erosion and abuse, the Sphinx is still an inspirational sight to behold after finishing you will   board your coach north-westward to Alexandria, the pearl of Mediterranean , check in and over night t the hotel

Alexandria / Sallum

Pre, early breakfast you will start your sightseeing there by visiting the (Catacombs) which consist of three tires hewn out of the rock at depth of 100ft, then visit the :pompey’s pillar “ a huge granite pillar  dating back to 297A.D  after that start visit "Qaitbay Citadel" , it was built on the 15th century and consist of three storeys similar to medieval fortresses in Egypt. It houses the naval museum which revives the marine heritage of Alexandria after that you will visit the famous mosque Abu Al Abbas Al Mursi and the summer residence of the ex-royal family El Montazah park and king’s Farouk’s palace ,after finishing we will start drive by A/C motor coach ab: 2.30 for journey west to our specially selected eclipse-viewing site out side the sea side town of Sallum (The border town between Egypt & Libya),  about 15 kilometers off the centerline Over night in camps

Sallum / Siwa – ECLIPSE DAY!

Today is the eclipse day ,after breakfast we will up equipment before first view of eclipse:
 
First view of eclipse: (partial eclipse begins) 11:20:04a.m.
Second view of eclipse: (totally begins) 12:38:02p.m
Third view:(totally ends) 12:41:59p.m
Fourth view: (partial eclipse ending 1:59:54p.m
Duration of totality : 3 minutes, 56 seconds

Sun Altitude during totality :62°

 

After finish return to Siwa Oasis in the time for our celebration eclipse dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Siwa

After breakfast you will start your sightseeing at Siwa, it consider the most inaccessible of all Egypt's oasis until very recently, is also one of the most fascinating, lying some 60 feed below sea level.. On the edge of the Great Sand Sea, its rich history includes a visit from Alexander the Great to consult the Oracle of Amun in 331 BC. We will see first temple of amun  with a panoramic view for the whole area and Gabal El Mouta, the mountain of the dead, with many interesting tombs from the Greek Roman period after that we visit Cleopatra bath at last  we will  visit the mud-brick town of Shalli towering above the oasis and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6  March 31.2006
Siwa / Bahareya Oasis                                

Check out after breakfast and begin our great adventure by driving jeeps into the desert, (Departure from Hotel at 6:00 am). We’ll drive direction to Bahariya Oasis, 428 km on Road ..,The Oasis was a major agricultural center during the Pharaonic era, and has been famous for its wine as far back as the Middle Kingdom.  During the fourth century, the absence of Roman rule and violent tribes in the area caused a decline as some of the oasis was reclaimed by the sand. Wildlife is plentiful, especially birds such as wheatears; crops (which only cover a small percentage of the total area) include dates, olives, apricots, rice and corn. There are a number of springs in the area, some very hot, such as Bir ar-Ramla but probably the best is Bir al-Ghaba, about 10 miles north east of Bawiti.  There is also Bir al-Mattar, a cold springs which poors into a concrete pool. upon arrive check in and  overnight at the hotel in Bahariya

Day 7  April 1.2006
Bahareya / White Desert

After breakfast in the hotel, departure with Jeeps for 140 km on Road, then we’ll leave the asphalt road to explore the white desert. Lunch at Magic Springs and camping in White desert, It is truly white, in clear contrast with the yellow desert elsewhere. At night, overnight stay out in the desert in the camps

Day 8  April 2.2006
White Desert / Farafra Oasis

Breakfast at the Camp Drive to Farafra Oasis Farafra is among the most isolated places in Egypt. It is part of the Western Desert circuit, so it still gets many visitors. And the place has a number of attractions, of which the adjacent White Desert is one of Egypt's most famous nature sights. You will start your sightseeing by visiting the City , the Museum of Badr the local artist ,bath in the hot spring ( Beir Seita ) then move to Bahariya Oasis .. check in the hotel and overnight

Day 9  April 3.2006
Bahareya Oasis / Cairo

Early morning after breakfast check out from the hotel ,start your sightseeing with Ain El-Muftella temple ,Alexander the great temple , Bannantiu Tomb  after finishing your sightseeing we will  start drive by A/C motor coach transfer to Cairo ,check in at the hotel and overnight

Day 10  April 4.2006
Cairo
After breakfast transfer to Cairo air port for the final departure
